Joe, This is the continuation of a 10 year old problem I have had with pglaf files. In my early productions which were uploaded to PG, any paragraph that began with the word "From" was turned into ">From". It drove me crazy. Only when I had downloaded the files, corrected the problem, and then uploaded them directly to ibiblio.org was I able to get rid of the ">". I have no idea how to get rid of it in a posting note. One more try.
My copy of the correction note (the one in my "sent" box) does not have the ">" but the copy I received from pglaf has it! Somehow the pglaf server is adding the ">". This is my last try. If the ">" is still there, simply ignore it.
