Indexers note: The illustrator of this book appears to be J. B. Greene, not Garens. (I'm not sure where the latter name came from, but it might have been a mistranscription. Zooming in on the images shows "Greene" fairly clearly in the signatures.) I can't tell whether this is the same J. B. Greene as "Greene, J. B. (Jerome Bonaparte), 1830-1906", but I suspect this may be someone else. So I've just listed him as "Greene, J. B." for now. John David Widger wrote:
