John is correct as to "Tale of the Witch Doll" having its copyright renewed. Both the Rutgers (http://comminfo.rutgers.edu/~lesk/copyrenew.html) and the Stanford (http://collections.stanford.edu/copyrightrenewals/bin/page?forward=ho me) renewal databases show its having been renewed, as does PG's etext #11800: WIRT, MILDRED A. Tale of the witch doll. C 15Apr39; A128287. Cupples & Leon Co (PWH); 31Oct66; R397192. Al

This book is copyrighted (copyright 1939, renewed 1966) but I see no mention of this on the etext or in the catalog entry.
Does Gutenberg have permission to post this, or is there evidence it fell into the public domain, or was this cleared by mistake?
(Some, but not all, of the other Wirt titles posted in the last few months also had their copyrights renewed. I can supply a list if needed.)
Thanks,
John Mark Ockerbloom
