The Power of Conscience, by Thomas Bedworth 63018 [Subtitle: exemplified in the genuine and extraordinary confession of Thomas Bedworth] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/3/0/1/63018 ] [Files: 63018-0.txt; 63018-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Thomas Bedworth (1764-1815) in a drunken rage murdered the Elizabeth Beesmore in 1815, fled London, but was haunted by visions of the dead woman, and eventually handed himself in, being hung for the murder in September 1815. This wasn't quite written by him, but claims to be largely his confession on the night before his execution. All the best, David, Overcast, windy and not too warm England
