Reasons for Leaving the Church of Rome, by Rev. Laurence J. Nolan 62055 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/2/0/5/62055 ] [Files: 62055-0.txt; 62055-h.htm] For those wishing to know: In the early 1830's the Roman Catholic priest Rev. Laurence J. Nolan, left his charge in the Diocese of Meath, Ireland, and became a curate at Athboy, in the Church of England and Ireland. In this pamphlet he explains to his former friends why he did this, knowing it would cause him to be cast out of the community he was very much part of, and also reduce him to poverty. As might be expected it's mainly doctrinal disagreements. Four years after publishing this tract he died at Athboy (4 Decmeber 1839) from consumption, brought on by over work and poor health generally. All the best, David Sunny England, but with misty clouds
