Darwinism. The Noachian Flood, by Thomas R. R. Stebbing 64499 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/4/4/9/64499 ] [Files: 64499-0.txt; 64499-h.htm] For those wishing to know: this is a lecture by the Rev. Stebbing to his local natural history society in 1870, the year before Darwin's Ascent of Man was published. Stebbing uses Darwin's ideas to argue that the flood of Noah in the Bible could not have been across the whole world, but instead was merely local. He also refers to geological discovers etc. to prove his point. It's another response to Darwin, for Darwin Day (12 February). All the best, David England with a bit of snow
