A Reply to Dr. Vaughan's "Letter on the late Post-Office Agitation" 63746 [Author: James Roberts Pears] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/3/7/4/63746 ] [Files: 63746-0.txt; 63746-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Around 1850 Dr. Vaughan headmaster of Harrow School England published a pamphlet on why he wouldn't object to the Post Office's plan to change Sunday working practises in London to reduce the number of it's staff in England who had to work on Sunday. Pears, of Bath Grammar School, thought this was treachery to Sunday observance and the campaign he was involved in. This pamhplet sets forth what Pears thought. All the best, David Darkest England
