Borth Lyrics, by Edward Thring 48457 [Ill.: C. Rossiter] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/4/8/4/5/48457 ] [Files: 48457-0.txt; 48457-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Edward Thring was the headmaster of Uppingham School. In 1875 a typhoid outbreak meant the school could not open - instead Thring moved the school to the small Welsh fishing village of Borth and for a year an historic English public school was by the sea. This book is Thring's poems inspired by the occasion. The story is told by John Henry Skrine (one of the Uppingham teachers) in Gutenberg eBook 18036 - Uppingham by the Sea). All the best, David, Damp but not cold England
