What will they say at Brompton?, by J. Stirling Coyne 58114 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/5/8/1/1/58114 ] [Files: 58114-0.txt; 58114-h.htm] For those wishing to know: a short comedy play for Victorians who were keen on acting. There's a few funny lines, mainly from the Todd character, but there's plenty of cases where a character's speech is simply a way to tell the audience what is going on. It's nothing to do with Brompton, Kensington, London, it's just Brompton was a very middle class neighbourhood so useful for the title line. All the best, David, Dampest England
