The Cholera, by Thomas Beggs 67045 [Subtitle: the claims of the poor upon the rich] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/7/0/4/67045 ] [Files: 67045-0.txt; 67045-h.htm] For those wishing to know: This pamphlet, written around 1850 in London, points out that in the 1832 cholera outbreak some effort was made to clean up the slums which were thought to be the source of the problems. However, once the cholera had gone, that effort ceased, greater slums had been created since, and cholera was on it's way back. All the best, David Overcast and damp England
