The Church Index, by William Pepperell 41048 [Subtitle: A Book of Metropolitan Churches and Church Enterprise: Part I. Kensington] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/4/1/0/4/41048 ] [Files: 41048-0.txt; 41048-h.htm] For those wishing to know: around 1870 the Rev. William Pepperell published a series of articles on each of the churches in the Kensington (West London) district. Each included a visit to the church and it's a sort of "Guide to the Churches". This book combines the articles with some extra essays, and quite a lot of fine drawings of the churches.
