I've been reading on computers and electronic devices for a long long time, but I just can't imagine it would be very comfortable on a 1970s machine... (I guess I started late 90s? Might possibly even have been early 2000s. By then CRTs were pretty sharp and clear and LCDs at least were good for reading.)
