Is there supposed to be a text file here as well as the PDF and TeX?
(You mention "5740-8.txt" below.)
I do see the PDF and TeX source files, but
no sort of plain text.   (Of course, that wouldn't be easy to do with
this book, due the symbols and diagrams.)
