For those wishing to know: the book was a simple rebundling of a number of 
Henry James' shorter stories with a new preface by James.  The book 
doesn't have a proper title with the title page having a title more or 
less as given above, whilst the spine has "Lady Barbarina etc".

Gutenberg has a number of the stories from this book but it's interesting 
to see massive changes in phrasing between all the existing etexts and 
this lot.
