For those wishing to know: Samuel Williams was born and brought up in
Shrewsbury and became a Unitarian minister and moved away to London. He
was no doubt asked to write this book in 1881 when he was an important
minister in Liverpool, so it's looking back to the Shrewsbury of his youth
and the ages before that. It's not far from Liverpool to Shrewsbury so he
no doubt revisited.

All the best,
David,
Sunny England with pale blue skies
