For those wishing to know: John Perowne was a clergyman in Norwich, 
England, who in 1853 felt he had to respond to a pamphlet on about opening 
the Crystal Palace on the Sabbath, by Rev. Vaughan, head master of Harrow 
school.  Perowne takes a rather fundamental view of the issue.
