For those wishing to know: The dissenting churches in Norwich had gotten 
on with creating infant schools and around 1836 the Church of England 
decided they had to do something and not include the dissenters.  Rev. 
Alexander wrote a pamphlet asking for everyone to work together, Rev. 
Perowne wrote a pamphlet denouncing Rev. Alexander, and this is Rev. 
Alexander's reply.  As you can see, these pamphlets are very useful for 
seeing what was going on!
