For those wishing to know: Dr. Wilson worked with the cholera patients in 
the hospital in 1849 and made notes on what happened.  Whilst cholera by 
this stage was well-known, they didn't know how it spread nor how to treat 
it, although as Wilson notes some cases treatments appeared to work better 
than others.
