For those wishing to know: published in 1871 this is part of a series of 
secular pamphlets which are mainly headed "Biology versus Theology" but 
don't really cover the biological developments of the day (cf. Darwin). 
Quite why isn't clear, as it would have served the purpose better I think. 
However, this pamphlet uses lots of examples to prove the Bible doesn't 
always agree with itself, contains obvious mistakes etc.  As a Freethought 
pamphlets it's very solid, but the references to Biology and Science are 
somewhat misleading.  It's for Darwin day, 12th February.
