John is correct as to "Tale of the Witch Doll" having its copyright
renewed.

Both the Rutgers (http://comminfo.rutgers.edu/~lesk/copyrenew.html)
and the Stanford
(http://collections.stanford.edu/copyrightrenewals/bin/page?forward=ho
me) renewal databases show its having been renewed, as does PG's etext
#11800:

WIRT, MILDRED A.

  Tale of the witch doll. C 15Apr39;
    A128287. Cupples & Leon Co (PWH);
    31Oct66; R397192.
