For those wishing to know: written in 1879 by general writer and editor of 
Christian World etc. this considers what happened when the British meddled 
with South Africa.  Quite thought-provoking as most of Ritchie's stuff 
was, a sort of mingle of social concern, political activism, and 
traditional dissenting Christianity.
