For those wishing to know: the Rev. Henry Atley (1799-1881), an 
independent minister, published this account of the small town of Market 
Lavington, where is worked, in 1855.  He spends quite a bit of the book on 
Church matters but that's understandable, as there wasn't a lot else 
there.  It also includes an account of David Saunders the shepherd of 
Salisbury Plain, who was the subject of various pious tracts and lived in 
the area.
