
ePub is never derived into any other format (currently). All our text formats (txt, html, epub [and consequently MOBI], and pdf) for books we scan are derived from the _images.tar/.zip (page scans) and the abbyy.gz/xml (OCR data). I note that there is no derivation path starting from ePub. All of the supported formats can be derived from an ePub, and it seems to me that an ePub file has the greatest fidelity across the board. When will a derivation path from ePub be created?
